We need to stop the billion dollar voucher program and use our support our public education, trade schools, public libraries and historical societies. We need to make higher education aff ordable again.
We must ban Class II injection wells, stop fracking in our state parks and public lands, and clean up our superfund and brownfields.
We need to invest in our renewable energy economy. Ohio is a water state and can supplement that hydroelectricity with solar and wind power.
Our government should be protecting, defending and expanding our civil rights, collective bargaining and democracy.
We must stop the lies, discrimination and hate in our General Assembly.
I support the Voting Systems Reform Act and Voter Protection Act. We need to stop gerrymandering: I support, Issue 1.
People invest in healthy and safe environments. Everyone needs public schools that are funded for success and affordable community colleges and state universities. We all need local nutritious food and sustainable conservation management in our state parks, public lands, communities and farms. We are in an environmental crisis caused by fossil fuels, but we have the technology and wisdom to utilize renewable energy which helps mitigate the problem. We need to focus on building our communities with the vision of walking and biking to get to our needs. We must invest in electric trains that connect our communities throughout the state.
I want every child to have a safe, healthy, and happy environment to learn. Every school should have a therapist, counselors, nurses, sports, arts, music, theater, and trade school opportunities. A full curriculum that celebrates diversity, science, history and equality.
Every High School graduate should be registered to vote. Community Colleges and State Universities should be affordable.
Ohio is a Home Rule state. Unless the civil rights, health or safety of the public is violated or threatened, the state should allow local governments to protect its citizens, environment and development. The state should protect citizens from discrimination and harm.
We have a lot of resources in Ohio: water, soil, forests, and fi elds; fossil fuels should never be allowed to threaten, contaminate and waste the essential resources for creating and maintaining life.
We must ban Class II injection wells and stop fracking in our state parks and public lands..
The role of the government is to ensure that every citizen has equal protection, economic equality, and opportunities to learn, live, love, work, heal, recover, and die in a safe, inclusive, and healthy environment.
