Associate Professor of Law, Cleveland State University

Qualifications for this office:
My education includes degrees in Accounting, Law and Tax, and my research is cited as authority by the Congressional Research Service and Supreme Court of the United States. The job of Commissioner is taxes and budgets, and I dedicated my life and career to researching and teaching on these issues.

What do you consider to be the most difficult challenge facing this office and how would you address this challenge?
The most difficult challenge is always balancing the budget without raising taxes. I have successfully met that challenge in my first term, and I will do so in the next term.

Assuming you are elected, what is your top priority other than the budget?
My top priority outside of the budget is to increase support for our law enforcement and seniors. We need to keep Lake County safe for everyone, and we all deserve to age-in-place in our own home with the resources for a long and healthy life in retirement.

In what ways do/will you make yourself available to the public?
I make my office and personal cell phone numbers available to the public and work to be responsive to questions and concerns day in and day out.
